Wedding bells are ringing for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.
The 25-year-old athlete revealed in a Tuesday Instagram and Twitter post that he proposed to girlfriend Madison Oberg — and she said ‘yes!’
“She said YES! And now Maddie and I both got us a ring can’t wait to marry my best friend!” he captioned the photos. “God is doing some amazing things and I can’t thank him enough!”
In the main shot, Wentz is shown down on one knee, looking into Oberg’s eyes. In other photo, the couple embrace and Oberg shows off her sizable engagement ring.

The post comes just days after the Eagles beat the New England Patriots to win the Lombardi Trophy at Super Bowl LII — in a tightly contested game that surpassed all expectations.
It was a Cinderella ending for the Eagles — the underdogs of the game —after losing Wentz in December due to a knee injury. With expectations tempered, backup quarterback Nick Foles was tapped to lead the team.
The Birds made it through the playoffs and dominated the defending champs in Minneapolis, earning their first NFL championship in franchise history. Foles was named Super Bowl MVP.
“Love this guy and this team! We WORLD CHAMPS! Y’all better believe it! All glory to God!” Wentz wrote alongside an Instagram photo of himself with Foles after the big win.

Oberg has been right by Wentz’s side as he recovered from his injury. In December, he shared an Instagram photo of himself in a hospital bed with a smiling Oberg giving a thumbs up at his side.
“Surgery the comeback officially begins now!” he captioned the shot. “The Lord truly blessed me with this beautiful young lady to walk by my side and support me through all of this!”
